Why just 3 star then? Ah well, I have no complain regarding the plot. It is actually sweet and funny and really good. But the way it's written was very disappointing. It seems like the writer is in a hurry to published it and somehow missed a lot of errors here and there. And more importantly, for a 1st person POV, the 'show don't tell' aspect went a little too overboard that it ruined the excitement of finding out how the story progresses. I hate it when a good book is ruined by bad editing.
This book is one of those unfortunate ones, where I love the story, but can't focus on it because I'm too pissed at how badly it's been told. For fake relationship lovers, they will love the story as much as I did so, don't mind the words!
I love both Cara and Lo. Their love for each other and the chemistry are some of the best things about this book and that's the most important thing for a good fake relationship novel. I was struggling a bit with the first half of the book as nothing apart from the wedding was really happening plot wise and the author didn't really show us what's going on inside the heads of our two MCs so I was pretty afraid I wasn't going to connect to Cara and Lo at all. I definitely wish the author went deeper into their feelings or the progression of them so it didn't seem so all of a sudden. The second half though? It was so sweet and I'm so glad Lo's family was so nice and their friends were so supportive.
